Our Origin
My inspiration for launching HopeVida comes from an eye-opening experience I had in June 2024 while volunteering in Guatemala. Working alongside others to support mothers, families, and children through education, healthcare assistance, and donations, I saw firsthand what limited access to basic services means for a community.
That trip made me want to build something larger than a single visit: an effort that provides continuous support and brings others into the work. Our premise is simple: compassion, leadership, and service, applied consistently, create meaningful change in the communities that need it most.

Meet the Founder
Hi! I’m Dona Kim and I am currently a senior at the Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, New Jersey. My time in Guatemala inspired me to expand my passion into something larger: an effort that not only provides help but also inspires others to get involved! I hope to share with the world that kindness never goes unnoticed and every action we take has the power to affect someone else’s life.
In my free time, I enjoy going on runs around my neighborhood, listening to music, and thrift shopping!
